Ferdinand Zinnow

Heinrich Ferdinand Zinnow (born November 16, 1812 in Berlin ; † June 20, 1846 in Lüdersdorf ) was a teacher and director at the Dorotheenstädtische Realschule .

Ferdinand Zinnow was the son of a councilor and archivist at the royal city court. He received his education at the Berlinisches Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster ; from 1830 to 1833 he studied theology at the universities of Berlin and Halle . For some time he lived in Lüdersdorf near Gransee as an assistant to the local preacher. After his return to Berlin in 1834 he got a job at the seminary school and in 1836 was appointed the first teacher and interim conductor of the newly founded higher city school in Dorotheenstadt. After a few years, the management was finally transferred to him and the title of director was awarded. On June 14, 1846 he fell ill on the way to Lüdersdorf, where he died a few days later and was buried.
