Ferdinando Bonamici

Ferdinando Bonamici (* 1827 in Naples ; † September 1905 ) was an Italian composer and music teacher.

Bonamici worked for many years as executive secretary and teacher at the conservatory in his hometown. He founded the Circolo Musicale Bonamici , which had an impact on the musical life of Naples and on whose initiative the first Italian musicians' congress took place. In addition to piano pieces for beginners, which have appeared in several Ricordi collections , Bonamici composed three operas: Un matrimonio nella luna (first performed in 1871 at the Teatro Mercadante in Naples), Lida Wilson (first performed in 1878 at the Teatro Nuovo in Pisa) and Cleopatra (first performed in 1879 at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice).
