Konrad Koelbl

Konrad Kölbl ( pseudonyms : Conny Cöll , Bill Hasting , Bill Hastings ; born July 6, 1912 in Munich ; † May 24, 1994 ) was a German writer and publisher .

Life

Konrad Kölbl grew up with his parents in Augsburg . After the death of his mother, he was taken to an orphanage in Mindelheim , where he learned shorthand skills in self-study . From 1927 Kölbl lived again with his father in Augsburg and completed an apprenticeship as a gold beater . He then earned his living by stenographing and selling funeral speeches to the bereaved. From the mid-1930s, Kölbl worked for the Augsburger Allgemeine .

After the Second World War , Konrad Kölbl began to write magazine novels on a large scale , which were published between 1952 and 1964 by his own Munich publishing house under the pseudonym "Conny Cöll". It was mainly about Wild West novels , which Kölbl often re-published in edited form as a loan book .
