Ferdinando di Lasso (II)

Ferdinando di Lasso (II) (* 1592 ; † 1636 in Reischach ) was a German composer of the early Baroque. Ferdinando di Lasso was born in 1560 as the son of his father of the same name, Ferdinando di Lasso . During his father's lifetime he was one of the singing boys of the ducal chapel. In 1608 he graduated from the Jesuit high school in Munich (today Wilhelmsgymnasium Munich ). In 1609 he went to Rome at the expense of Duke Maximilian I to continue his education there with the composer Giovanni Battista Crivelli . After his return in 1616, he took up the position of Kapellmeister at the ducal court. In 1629 he got his dismissal for reasons unknown until now and was appointed district judge and treasurer in Reischach , where he died in 1636.
