Ferenc Hammang

Ferenc Hammang [ ˈfɛrɛnʦ ˈhɒmːɒŋɡ ] (born May 20, 1944 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian fencer and today's trainer.

At the fencing world championships in 1973 and at the fencing world championships in 1978 he was world champion with the team of the Hungarian saber fencer , in 1977 he was involved in winning the bronze medal, in 1975 he was a substitute for winning the silver medal.

In 1980 at the Olympic Games in Moscow, Hammang won the bronze medal in saber fencing together with György Nébald , Rudolf Nébald , Imre Gedővári and Pál Gerevich .

He has been the coach of FKV (Fechtklub Villach ) since 2000 . Before that he worked as a trainer in Italy .
