Ferme de Châteaupers
The Ferme de Châteaupers (French ferme for farm), in Roinville , a French commune in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 14th century. The farm has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1977 .
The courtyard, which is also written as Ferme de Chateaupers in literature , was first mentioned as a manor in a contract dated March 18, 1385 . As a fortified structure, it also served the neighboring families as a place of refuge in the event of danger.
