Fernand Herman

Fernand Herman (born January 23, 1932 in Bassenge , † April 4, 2005 in Brussels ) was a Belgian politician and economist .

Life and politics

Herman studied law and economics at the Catholic University of Leuven , where he also taught from 1968 to 1983. From 1975 to 1977 he was Minister of Economic Affairs in Belgium, from 1977 to 1978 a member of the Belgian Senate and from 1978 to 1980 a member of the Belgian Chamber of Deputies . After all, Herman was a Member of the European Parliament from 1979 to 1999 .
