Fernande Hölscher

Fernande Hölscher (born Scheid, * 1944 ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Life

From 1963 to 1970 Hölscher studied Classical Archeology, Graecistics and Ancient History in Freiburg, Heidelberg, Würzburg, Cologne and Bryn Mawr . In 1972 she received her doctorate from Erika Simon at the University of Würzburg . She then wrote two Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum Germany volumes for the holdings of the antique collection of the Martin von Wagner Museum . For many years she was a lecturer in classical archeology at the University of Konstanz .

Since 1967 she has been married to the classical archaeologist Tonio Hölscher , with whom she has two sons and two daughters.
