Fernando Ramos de Alencar (born April 29, 1919 in Porto Alegre , † 1994 in Santiago de Chile ) was a Brazilian diplomat .

Career

Ramos de Alencar was born as the son of Minister Armando de Alencar . He was Secretary General in the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as Ambassador in Santiago de Chile, Bonn , Bogotá , Asunción and Bern . In 1973 he was the negotiator for the signing of the Itaipú contract for the construction of the Itaipú hydropower plant of the same name .
