Ferry Laureyns

Ferry Laureyns (* 1507 in Maretz , † 1558 in Mechelen ) was Margaret of Austria's ambassador to Henry VIII of England in 1525 .

Life

His parents were Jeanne de Gros and Josse Chevalier Laureyns. His wife was née Molbaix. He was called Heer, Seigneur also Señor de Terdeghem .

Atelier Monétaire de Malines

In 1357 Louis de Mal granted the city of Mechelen the right to mint , which was exercised in the Atelier Monétaire de Malines in the Vieux Bruel of today's Rue du Bruel near Mechelen. Ferry Laureyns acquired the mint from Filips Wielant (~ * 1441 Ghent- † March 2, 1520 ibid).
