Terdeghem , West Flemish : Terdegem is a commune in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Wormhout (until 2015 canton of Steenvoorde ) in the arrondissement of Dunkerque . It borders on Cassel in the north-west, Steenvoorde in the north and east, Eecke in the south-east, Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel in the south and Sainte-Marie-Cappel in the south-west .

history

Earlier place names were Terdengim (1002), Tertingehem (1038), Terdingehem (1115), Terdengem (1167), Terdighem (1187) and Therdeghem (1798). In 1801 the village already had its current name.
