Lederzeele , West Flemish : Lederzele , is a municipality in French Flanders in France . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Dunkerque arrondissement and the Wormhout canton . It borders in the north on Volkerinckhove , in the north-east on Broxeele , in the south-east on Buysscheure , in the south on Nieurlet , in the west on Saint-Momelin and in the north-west on Wulverdinghe . The residents call themselves Lederzeelois . Earlier place names were Lidersela (1139) and Ledersela (1183).

The former Route nationale 28 leads over Lederzeele.
