Rexpoëde ( Dutch: Rekspoede ) is a French municipality with 2001 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dunkerque and the Canton of Wormhout .
geography
The municipality is located around 20 kilometers southeast of Dunkirk , near the Belgian border, in the French Flanders countryside . The neighboring municipalities of Rexpoëde are:
- Killem in the north,
- Oost-Cappel in the east,
- Bambecque in the south,
- West-Cappel in the west and
- Warhem in the northwest.
The municipality is drained by the Zwyne Becque river to the east, which eventually flows into the Yser (IJzer), which runs to Belgium.
