Armbouts-Cappel ( Dutch Aremboutskappel ) is a French municipality with 2281 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dunkerque and is part of the canton of Coudekerque-Branche (until 2015: Canton Bergues ). She belongs to the Communauté urbaine de Dunkerque Grand Littoral . The inhabitants are called Armbouts-Cappellois .
geography
Armbouts-Cappel is about six kilometers south-southwest of Dunkirk in the Pays Moulins de Flandre countryside . The Canal de la Haute Colme runs through the municipality . Armouts-Cappel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dunkirk in the north, Cappelle-la-Grande in the east and northeast, Bierne in the east and southeast, Steene in the south, Spycker in the west and Grande-Synthe in the northwest.
The national route 225 runs through the municipality .
