Norbert Peschke

Norbert Peschke (* 1948 in Zwickau ) is a German engineer , regional historian and publisher .

Peschke is a graduate engineer for municipal civil engineering. From 1991 to 1994 he worked for the Zwickauer Tageblatt . From 1993 to the beginning of 1998 he was editor-in-chief of the regional historical journal Zwickauer Heimatjournal . He publishes numerous writings on the contemporary history of Saxony in his own publishing house a . a. as editor , including himself as the author of the book Naziterror in Zwickau published in 2005 by the Zwickau Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance .

Honors

With his book “ 130 years of mining lamps and accumulator production in Zwickau. History of the Friemann & Wolf Company and its Successors ”, in 2015 he came second in the Saxon State Prize for Local Research . At the end of November he was awarded the Stephan Roth Citizens Medal by the city of Zwickau .
