Wallon-Cappel ( Dutch : Waalskappel ) is a commune in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Hazebrouck (until 2015: canton of Hazebrouck-Nord ) in the arrondissement of Dunkerque . It borders in the northwest with Staple (point of contact), Hondeghem in the north, Hazebrouck in the east, Morbecque in the south, Sercus in the southwest and Lynde in the west. The residents call themselves Wallon-Cappelois.
