Brouckerque , "Broekkerke" in West Flanders , is a municipality in the French part of Flanders . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Dunkerque arrondissement and the Grande-Synthe canton ( canton Bourbourg until 2015 ). The residents call themselves Brouckerquois.

Brouckerque borders in the northwest on Loon-Plage , in the north on Dunkerque (point of contact), in the northeast on Spycker , in the southeast on Pitgam , in the south on Looberghe and in the west on Bourbourg and Craywick .

The communities Bourbourg , Craywick and Brouckerque have a share in the district of Coppenaxfort .

The Canal de Bourbourg touches the municipality mark in the west.
