Sercus , in Dutch "Zerkel", is a municipality in northern France . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Dunkerque arrondissement and the Hazebrouck canton (until 2015: Hazebrouck-Nord canton ). It borders on Lynde to the west and north, Wallon-Cappel to the northeast, Morbecque to the east and Blaringhem to the south . The residents call themselves Sercussois .
