Ledringhem ( Dutch Ledringhem ) is a French municipality with 661 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Dunkerque , the canton of Wormhout and the Hauts de Flandre municipality .

geography

Ledringhem is surrounded by the neighboring communities Esquelbecq in the north, the canton capital Wormhout in the east, Zermezeele in the southeast and Arnèke in the southwest and west.

history

During the Second World War , the site was the scene of the battle of Ledringhem, in which British and German troops faced each other. A military cemetery commemorates this.
