Wemaers-Cappel , West Flemish : Wemoars-Kapel , is a municipality in French Flanders in France . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Dunkerque arrondissement and the Wormhout canton . It borders in the north-west on Arnèke , in the north-east on Zermezeele , in the east on Hardifort , in the south-east on Cassel , in the south on Zuytpeene and in the west on Ochtezeele . The residents call themselves Wemaers-Cappelois .
The municipality belongs to the canton of Wormhout (until 2015: canton of Cassel ).
