Blaringhem ( Flemish : Blaringem ) is a French town in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France in the historic West Flemish -speaking region French Flanders . Blaringhem has 2,069 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), who are called Blaringhemois , and belongs to the canton Hazebrouck (until 2015: canton Hazebrouck-Nord ) in the arrondissement of Dunkerque .

location

Blaringhem is about 45 kilometers southeast of Calais and about 38 kilometers south of Dunkirk . The Canal de Neufosse runs through the municipality . Blaringhem is surrounded by the neighboring communities Renescure in the north and north-west, Lynde in the north, Sercus in the north-east, Morbecque and Steenbecque in the east, Boëseghem in the south and south-east, Wittes in the south and south-west, Rocquetoire in the south-west and Racquinghem in the west.
