Arnèke Town Hall (Mairie)

Arnèke ( Dutch : Arneke or Arnyke ) is a French municipality with 1617 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France near the border with Belgium . It is located in the arrondissement of Dunkerque and is part of the canton of Wormhout (until 2015: canton of Cassel ). The inhabitants are called Arnèkois .

geography

Arnèke is about 22 kilometers south of Dunkirk . Arnèke is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Zegerscappel in the north, Ledringhem in the northeast, Zermezeele in the east and southeast, Wemaers-Cappel in the south and southeast, Ochtezeele in the south and southwest, Rubrouck in the west and Bollezeele in the northwest.
