The municipality of Winnezeele is located in French Flanders in the far north of France, about 27 kilometers southeast of Dunkerque and 40 kilometers northwest of Lille . In the east the municipality borders on Belgium (Poperinge municipality). The predominantly flat area of ​​the municipality is traversed by several streams ( Herzeele, Sale Becque, Ey Becque ), all of which drain towards the north to the Yser .
