Ferzende Kaya

Ferzende Kaya (born October 11, 1978 in Başkale / Van ) is a Kurdish journalist and writer in Turkey . He started journalism while he was still in high school. He worked for a long time in eastern Turkey during the state of emergency . Newspapers he has worked for are AA , Politika , Selam , Nokta, Radikal , Yeni Gündem, and Turkish Daily News . He published many articles on the Kurdish issue, human rights and the Middle East .

He also worked as a critic and music author. Kaya currently has his position at Newport University in the USA. Kaya also works as a biographer. He wrote a biography about Ahmet Kaya ( Başım Belada ), Mehmed Uzun ( Uzun Roman ) and Abdülmelik Fırat ( Mezopotamya Sürgünü ) - a grandson of Sheikh Said .

In addition to newspapers, Kaya also wrote in magazines such as the important magazine Öküz ("Ochse"). He founded the magazines Yeni Harman and Hayvan ("Tier") with others . He was editor of the Turkish / Kurdish magazine Esmer for a while . After he finished his work there, he turned to a new magazine called Multi Kulti , which will deal more generally with the different cultures of Turkey.
