Fethaland
Fethaland is an uninhabited peninsula in the north of Mainland , the main island of about Scotland scoring Shetlands . The Hill of Breibister, four kilometers north of the village of North Roe , is considered the southern limit . On its northern slope are the ruins of two abandoned hamlets, Breibinster and Skinisfield. In the north Fethaland merges in a low, narrow isthmus into another peninsula, called the Isle of Fethaland . Since its northern tip, Fethaland Point, marks the border between two seas, as defined by the International Hydrographic Organization , the west coast of Fethaland is part of the North Atlantic and the east coast of the North Sea . In the area of the isthmus there are the structural remains of Fedeland , a settlement formerly inhabited by fishermen during the summer fishing season. They are designated as a Scheduled Monument and are therefore under monument protection. Fethaland is in the Community Council Area of Northmavine .
