Fethi Savaşçı

Fethi Savaşçı (born July 10, 1930 in Birgi , Western Turkey; † October 26, 1989 in Munich ) was a Munich writer who worked in the Turkish language. Savaşçı came to Germany in 1965 as a factory worker.

Of the 22 books by the poet who publishes poems , short stories and novels , two also appeared in German translation. His work deals primarily with the world of work and the lives of foreign workers.

In 2003 an unsuccessful initiative was started again to give a street in Munich its name, after an action with the same goal in 1993, which was supported by parts of the Munich SPD at the time, failed to produce any results.
