Karl Feuerer

Karl Feuerer (born September 11, 1907 in Munich ; † 1968 ) was a German communist, resistance fighter against the Nazi regime and concentration camp prisoner.

Life dates

Feurer was a member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and had been in custody since 1933. From 1939 to 1945 he was a prisoner in Buchenwald concentration camp . Here he organized the connection between the communists from the south of Bavaria . In Block 30 he was assigned to the room duty, later he did duty in the prisoners library , in the office and after a punishment transfer to the quarry he was assigned to the prisoners canteen .

In 1945 he experienced the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp. He got involved again in the KPD, for which he ran unsuccessfully in the Bundestag election in 1949 in the Bundestag constituency of Munich-Land .
