Fil Bo Riva (* 1992 or 1993 as Filippo Bonamici in Rome ) is an Italian musician .

Life

Filippo Bonamici was born in Rome to an Italian father and a German mother . When he was 10 he learned to play the guitar. He was a member of several small bands. Because his school performance suffered from his musical engagements, his parents sent him to boarding school in Ireland . After graduating from high school, he lived in Madrid for a short time and then returned to Rome. He then applied for the product design course at the Berlin University of the Arts and moved to Berlin in 2012 after passing the entrance exam .

In 2014 he dropped out of his studies, concentrated on making music and performed as a street musician . He got to know the guitarist Felix A. Remm , with whom he composed music from now on. According to Bonamici, the collaboration between the two musicians is more of a "project in which two friends combine their passions" and not a band. The two were supported by Mighty Oaks producer Robert “Robbie” Stephenson.

Fil Bo Riva appeared in the opening act for AnnenMayKantereit in 2015 . A year later the EP If You're Right, It's Alright was released . This was followed by a tour with Joan As Police Woman and appearances at The Great Escape Festival , Eurosonic Noorderslag and Montreux Jazz Festival . In 2019 Fil Bo Riva was nominated for the Music Moves Europe Talent Award .

In the same year Fil Bo Riva's debut album Beautiful Sadness was released on Humming Records.
