history

A church was mentioned in documents in 1130. The originally Gothic church building was changed to Baroque style. In 1660 an oratorio was added on both sides. In 1736 the nave was extended by another western yoke. The west tower is from 1736.

architecture

The single-nave, four-bay nave, the western bay is square vaulted, the three eastern, formerly Gothic vaults have been redesigned in Baroque style. The slightly retracted choir from 1460 has a three-eighth closure with an originally Gothic vault changed in Baroque style. The Gothic wall services are preserved behind the high altar. The west gallery is curved and has two floors. The vaults of the nave and the choir have a rich stucco with band and latticework by Johann Michael Vierthaler (1736). In the stucco fields are paintings with scenes from the life of Bartholomäus. The west tower wears an onion helmet. The portal halls around 1600 show a simple stucco. The sacristy door has Gothic fittings.

Furnishing

The high altar was built around 1670/1680 and has statues by the master of St. Florian near Helpfau and altar paintings by Tobias Schinagl (1674). The simple side altars with winding columns show paintings by Johann Miller from Burghausen (1664). The pulpit is from the end of the 17th century. The late Gothic crucifix was made around 1510/1520. The choir stalls and pews were built around 1735.
