The Roman Catholic parish church Feldkirchen bei Mattighofen is located in Feldkirchen in the municipality of Feldkirchen bei Mattighofen in Upper Austria . The parish church of St. Andreas belongs to the dean's office in Mattighofen in the diocese of Linz . The church and the churchyard are under monument protection .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1025. The originally Gothic two-aisled church in the style of the hospital church in Braunau was consecrated around 1444. After the collapse of the tower (1693) and the demolition of the vault of the nave after the vault was weakened by removing the pillars with Adam Wieser (1696), it was restored with Domenicus Christoph Zuccali (1696/1697) and thus redesigned from a Gothic one Hall church in an Italianizing unit room.

architecture

The buttresses on the north side and part of the outer walls have been preserved from the Gothic church building. The single-nave three-bay nave is vaulted with a pressed barrel in the central bay and with vaulted sails in the two outer bays. The pillars are drawn in. The raised, raised two-bay choir with a three-eighth end has a lancet vault. The nave and choir were fitted with simple stucco in 1697. The three-axis west gallery has a parapet wall with stucco from 1730/1740. The baroque tower south of the choir has been converted into an octagon at the top and has an onion helmet. On the ground floor of the tower there is a two-bay chapel for the poor with a flat barrel vault, the chapel is open to the choir and was closed with a wrought iron grille from the end of the 17th century. The Gothic south portal with a Gothic vestibule and a nearby Mount of Olives chapel with a Gothic ribbed vault. The Gothic sacristy portal has a door with Gothic fittings.

Furnishing

The high altar is from 1694. Ignaz Franz Schinagl painted the altarpieces. Sebastian Hagenauer from Braunau created the sculptures (1697). The tabernacle is in the Rococo style . The left side altar St. Maria from 1658 was created by the carpenter Sebastian Dusler and the sculptor Balthasar Mayr, both from Burghausen. The right side altar St. Sebastian was created around 1745/1750. The pulpit from 1696 was created by the carpenter Leonhard Enzensberger and the sculptor Sebastian Hagenauer. The wood-carved oratorio, the choir stalls and the cheeks were created with Hagenauer (1697). Above the south portal is a crucifix from the second half of the 17th century. The font is from the 16th century. The Stations of the Cross are from 1735. The organ was built in 1885 by Martin Hechenberger from Passau .

The altar of the poor soul chapel was built around 1670. The sacristy furnishings were built around 1700.
