The Streifing branch church is located in the center of Streifing in the market town of Kreuzstetten in the Mistelbach district in Lower Austria . The Roman Catholic branch church of the Niederkreuzstetten parish church , consecrated to the patronage of Barbara von Nicomedia , belongs to the Wolkersdorf dean's office in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna .

history

The church building from 1840 was expanded in 1949 and restored in 1978.

architecture

The simple church building with pilaster strips and arched windows has a west choir with a straight end. The slightly presented facade tower shows a round arched blind gable above the rectangular portal, round arched sound windows, and wears a pointed gable helmet. The sacristy is attached to the west of the choir.

The interior of the church has a flat ceiling on wall templates and an organ gallery.

The small monuments around the church are sandstone figures of Mary with Child and Man of Sorrows , both from the 19th century.

Furnishing

The altar wall (?) Shows a fresco St. Barbara by Hermann Bauch (after 1960).
