The Roman Catholic subsidiary church Weingraben is located in the municipality of Weingraben in the Oberpullendorf district in Burgenland . The branch church of the parish church in Kaisersdorf , consecrated to St. Mary Magdalene , belongs to the dean's office of Oberpullendorf in the Eisenstadt diocese . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .

history

The church was built in 1621 and enlarged in 1663. In 1860 it was rebuilt using the old masonry; the Emporenjoch and the tower were rebuilt and the old nave was newly vaulted. In 1966 and 1973 the church was restored.

architecture

The church stands at the northern end of the village, surrounded by the old cemetery. The simple church building with a west tower has a choir with a three-eighth closure. The tower presented has a pyramid helmet. There are buttresses from the 17th century on the apse.

The three-bay nave has a square vault with belts on shield arches and mighty pilasters.

Furnishing

The high altar is from the first half of the 18th century.

A bell named Franz Pfistermeister Güns in 1804 was transferred to the collection of the Bell Foundry in Vienna.
