Filinto Müller
Filinto Strübing Müller (born July 11, 1900 in Cuiabá , Mato Grosso , † July 11, 1973 in Orly , France) was a Brazilian politician.
Career
Müller was during the presidency of Getúlio Vargas (1933-1942) chief of the police in the Federal District . In 1945 he was a co-founder of the Partido Social Democrático . From 1947 he represented the state of Mato Grosso in the Senate and was its vice-president from 1959 to 1961 and president in 1973. From 1969 to 1973 he was chairman of the Aliança Renovadora Nacional (ARENA).
He died on board VARIG flight 820 near Paris-Orly airport .
