Finger Tips was a handicraft series for children that was broadcast in Germany by Super RTL and Junior . The English production company is The Foundation TV Productions Limited , which produces four other children's programs in addition to this show. The German premiere was on September 20, 2004 on Super RTL.

True to the show's motto, the moderators show viewers how they can "do great things very easily with their fingers". The first three seasons were moderated by Stephen Mulhern and Fearne Cotton , who was replaced by Naomi Wilkinson in the fourth season . In the fifth season Mulhern left the show, the new moderation team were Naomi Wilkinson and Tim Dixon .

Finger Tips sees itself as a creative magazine for children. But this includes more than just painting and handicrafts.

There are different sub-categories:

  • Technique fingertips : it shows how one can be creative with the help of the computer .
  • Green fingertips : ideas for flowers and the garden
  • Delicious fingertips : creative and simple cooking and baking ideas
  • Games Finger Tips : Making Games
  • Clever fingertips : " Recycling " household items (e.g. old T-shirts, boring belts, furniture)

At the end there is the presentation of a theme party, including costumes, food, decorations and the production of a party game.

The minute game is a particular challenge, in which one of the moderators tries to tinker something with just a little material in just 60 seconds.

In addition to Austria , Germany and Great Britain , Finger Tips was also sent to France , Switzerland , Belgium , Greece , Hong Kong , Malaysia , Singapore , Thailand and Canada .

After five seasons in eight years, the British broadcaster ITV ended production of the show.
