Corinne Calvet (actually Corinne Dibos ; born April 30, 1925 in Paris , † June 23, 2001 in Los Angeles ) was a French actress .

Life

Calvet began working as a radio host and stage actress in Paris after World War II . They were discovered by the American film studio Paramount Pictures after minor roles in French films and so came to Hollywood . In 1949 she shot her first film there under director William Dieterle on the side of Burt Lancaster . She played in a wide variety of genre films in the 1950s , but never felt that she was really cast. In the 1960s and 1970s , she played in a few television series and then ended her film career. Corinne Calvet was married four times (including the American actor John Bromfield ) and had a son.
