Firehouse 12 Records

Firehouse 12 Records is an independent American jazz label.

The label Firehouse 12 Records, named after the event location of the same name in New Haven (Connecticut) , was founded in the mid-2000s by sound engineer Nick Lloyd and cornet player Taylor Ho Bynum in order to "present creative music in its original environment". Since then, the label has released recordings from various formations Taylor Ho Bynums as well as Peter Evans , Nicole Mitchell , Mary Halvorson ( Dragon's Head ), Carl Maguire , John Hébert , Myra Melford , Tyshawn Sorey , Anthony Braxton and Bill Dixon . There is also a recording studio attached to the venue. a. Albums by Daniel Levin ( Blurry ) and Joe Morris ( High Definition ) were made.
