A First 21

The First 21 is a series of daysailers from the French yacht manufacturer Bénéteau .

history

The first First 21 came on the market in 1992 under the name First 210. The First 210 is clearly recognizable through the portholes on the sides of the hull. Successors to the First 210 were:

  • First 211 (1998)
  • First 7/21 (2004)
  • First 21.7 S (2007)

The current version First 20 has been built with a modified rig since 2012.

The mast is a classic 9/10 mast made of anodized aluminum.

Motorization

The First 21 is designed to be propelled by an outboard motor with a long shaft. The trunk speed can be reached with 6 kW (8 HP) .

cabin

The interior of the First 21 is very simply furnished and therefore appears very spacious. In the foredeck there is a double berth in which two adults can sleep. In the adjoining living room there is a sink and a cooking area. In the middle of the ship there is a bench on each side that can also be used as a bunk . The legs of the reclining person are partially under the bench seats in the cockpit. Overall, the First 21 offers sleeping space for four people.

cockpit

The cockpit is relatively spacious for the size of the boat and can accommodate up to six people. It is controlled by a tiller .
