Foredeck

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Foredeck

The forecastle is the entire forward, mostly tapering part of a ship . This includes both the deck and the ship's rooms below deck.

On sailing yachts , this area extends from the stem to the mast . The hatches for the bunks below , the anchor winch and the cover for the anchor locker below are usually on deck .

Some of the workshops were housed there on cargo ships. On motor yachts, the area in front of the cockpit or cabin structure is referred to as the foredeck.

In English, the forecastle is called the forecastle , which indicates the development of the forecastle from the ship's fort.
