The First Crater (English for First Crater ) is a volcanic crater on the Hut Point Peninsula in the southwest of the Antarctic Ross Island . It is 1.2 km north of Hut Point .
Frank Debenham , participant of the British Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913), named it descriptively after its relative geographical location in the sequence with the Twin Crater and Crater Hill .
