Fischerschlössl
The Fischerschlössl , also known as the Jagdschloss Ebenhausen, is a monument built in 1842 for Gottfried Fischer in Ebenhausen in the municipality of Schäftlarn .
history
In 1842, Gottfried Fischer, a wealthy privateer , had the building erected by the architect Johann Moninger in the historicizing style. After his death in 1866, his widow and children lived in it until 1880, and in 1887 they sold it to Count Otto von Rambaldi. In 1909 the building was rebuilt by Franz Rank , at which time it was owned by an Apollo Geiger. The building changed hands several times in the following years.
building
The Fischerschlössl is built as a castle in a historicizing style in the neo-Gothic style. It has a crenellated tower and crenellated corner bay windows . The building is a three-story saddle roof structure . There are several outbuildings and a wall that also encompasses the forecourt. The building is surrounded by a park that is accessible from Poststrasse through a likewise neo-Gothic park gate.
Reception in art
The Fischerschlössl is a popular postcard motif and has also been painted many times. One of the most famous representations is the oil painting The Fischerschlösschen 1877 by Karl Roux .
