The fish-shaped eye animal ( Euglena pisciformis ) is a protist species from the genus of the eye animal ( Euglena ). It occurs in nutrient-rich, stagnant waters.

features

Euglena pisciformis is up to 25 micrometers long. The cells are spindle-shaped. Your front is rounded, the back of the cells have a short tip. The membrane is delicately striped. There are 2 chloroplasts , these are designed as bands on the side. The flagellum is as long as the body and has a one-sided band covered with hairs up to 4 micrometers long. It has its origin in a scourge pouch, where there is a short second scourge.
