The Fjällsjöälven is a right tributary of the Ångermanälven in the Swedish provinces of Jämtlands län and Västernorrlands län .
Fjällsjöälven has its origin in Lake Bodumsjön near Rossön . This is fed by the source rivers Hotingsån and Rörströmsälven . From there it flows in a south-southeast direction. It forms a number of lakes, including Fjällsjön near Fjällsjö . The largest tributary is the Vängelälven , which receives part of its water from the Faxälven . Fjällsjöälven flows into Ångermanälven about 5 km northwest of Näsåker . Fjällsjöälven is 80 km long. The Fjällsjöälven and its tributaries drain an area that stretches to the Norwegian border and borders the Faxälven catchment area in the south and the upper reaches of the Ångermanälven in the north. Including source rivers, the total length of the river is 260 km.
