Fjærlandsfjorden

The Fjærlandsfjord is a 27 km long tributary on the north side of the Sognefjord in Norway . The fjord lies entirely in the municipality of Sogndal in the province of Vestland . It is named after the small town of Fjærland .

On the west side there are other side fjords: the Esefjord at Balestrand and the Sværa and Vetlefjords at Farnes . From the north end on Reichsstraße  5, you can reach Briksdalsbreen after five kilometers , a side glacier of Jostedalsbreen . At the southern end of the estuary, by the Sognefjord, a ferry runs between Dragsvik and Hella as a connection between the national roads 55 and 13 . The fjord banks are otherwise mostly without roads.
