The Flat Top Peninsula (English for Flachgipfelige Peninsula , Spanish Península Morro Chato ) is a small peninsula at the southwestern end of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located on the west coast of the Fildes Peninsula , between Geographers Cove in the south and Horatio Bay in the northeast.
The peninsula was given its descriptive name by scientists from the British Discovery Investigations , who carried out surveys here in 1935.
