Flavio Poli (* 1900 in Chioggia , † 1984 in Venice ) was an Italian glass designer.

Flavio Poli had completed his training as a ceramist when he began working with the IVAM glass factory in 1929, for which he designed massive sculptures. However, he became famous from 1934 with his designs for the Venetian glassworks Seguso on Murano , whose artistic direction he finally took over and held until he left in 1963.

Polis famous designs include the partition zodiaco of opal glass , the candlestick vetro traliccio and its futuristic decorations vetro astral . In the 1950s he designed a series of mouth-blown vessels made of flashed glass and was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1954 . In addition, during this time he won four grand prix awards at the Milan Triennale exhibitions for his contemporary glass items .
