Meat processing company of the consumer cooperative "Vorwärts" (Dresden)
The former meat processing company of the consumer cooperative "Vorwärts" is a building at Fabrikstrasse 13 in Dresden , which was built by Kurt Bärig from 1927 to 1930 as part of a large factory for food production with a bakery , brewery and distillery . After war damage, the building was rebuilt and gutted in 1995. The building is now a listed building .
The building is an example of the New Objectivity architecture in Dresden. The building is a steel frame structure clad with red clinker bricks. The six-story factory building consists of two six-story wings that are arranged at an obtuse angle to one another. Both wings have been built around an eight-story tower.
