Fleming 1 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Centaurus in the southern sky , the approximately 10,000 light years from the sun away. Its two curved jets , tightly bundled streams of gas that emanate from the center of the nebula, are striking . In addition, two white dwarfs were discovered in its center , which orbit each other every 1.2 days.
The object was discovered by the astronomer Williamina Fleming in 1910.
