Flemming Pedersen

Flemming Steen Pedersen (born June 30, 1963 ) is a Danish football coach . He is currently the head coach of FC Nordsjælland .

Career

Flemming Pedersen coached fourth division Helsingør IF before he took over the youth team at FC Nordsjælland , before Pedersen was promoted to assistant coach of the professional team under Kasper Hjulmand in the summer of 2011 . Kasper Hjulmand was previously the assistant coach of the professionals under Morten Wieghorst before he took over the coaching position of the Danish U21 national team . In his first season as assistant coach of the professional team, Pedersen celebrated the surprising win of the Danish championship. In the summer of 2014, Hjulmand joined 1. FSV Mainz 05 as head coach and took Flemming Pedersen with him. On February 17, 2015, Pedersen was released from work with head coach Hjulmand and Keld Bordinggaard, the other assistant coach. In summer 2015 he was part of the coaching staff at English second division club FC Brentford and took over half a year later, the U21 team of the club from the district Brentford in London . In October 2016 Flemming Pedersen returned to FC Nordsjælland as Technical Director. Two and a half years later, after the resignation of Kasper Hjulmand, who had meanwhile become coach of FCN again, he became the new head coach of the club from Farum on the outskirts of Copenhagen.
