The FC Germania 08 Dörnigheim eV is a German football club based in the district Dörnigheim the Hessian town of Maintal in Main-Kinzig-Kreis .
history
The club was founded in 1908 and qualified for the first round of the DFB Cup for the 1988/89 season . With 0: 5 the team failed here at SpVgg Bayreuth .
In the 2003/04 season the club played in the district league Hanau and took second place here with 59 points, so that the club was allowed to rise to the district league in Frankfurt for the next season. From this, the team rose again with 40 points at the end of the 2006/07 season over 14th place. Back in the district league with 81 points, however, immediately succeeded in the championship and thus the direct promotion. This time they were able to stay in the league until the 2013/14 season, with only 17 points the club then had to go down to 17th place, into the division, which is now known as the regional league. Until the next championship, it should then be until the 2018/19 season, after which the FC was able to regain promotion with 78 points. Thus, the club has been playing in the group league Frankfurt Ost since the 2019/20 season .
