Krešo Ljubičić (born September 26, 1988 in Hanau ) is a Croatian football player .
Career
From 2007 to 2009 Ljubičić was in the professional squad of Eintracht Frankfurt , where he had also spent his youth from 1997 to 2007.
The left foot was discovered in the summer of 1997 at the “Adlertag” by Eintracht youth scouts and immediately moved from Germania Dörnigheim to the Bundesliga club . Mostly he was used in the second team of the Hessen. He made his debut in the top German division on December 1, 2007, when he came into the game against VfL Wolfsburg in the 81st minute for Faton Toski .
Ljubičić has already played for the U-17 and U-19 national teams of Croatia. He made his debut on September 27, 2004 against Albania . So far, Ljubičić has played 26 caps and scored two goals, one of them on his international debut.
After the 2008/09 season Ljubičić received no new contract and then signed a new four-year contract with the traditional Croatian club HNK Hajduk Split . There he played for a few years in the first team and was turned over to the NK Hrvatski dragovoljac in the capital Zagreb in the 2013/14 season . After his return he played another season in the second team of Hajduk Split.
He then moved back to German-speaking countries, this time to FC Biel in Switzerland. Since the Zealanders went bankrupt in the spring of 2016 and were subsequently relegated to the Swiss amateur league, Ljubičić moved to FC Winterthur at the beginning of the 2016/17 season . For the 2018/19 season he joined the club FC Bayern Alzenau , which played in the Hessenliga . Ljubičić also takes up a commercial apprenticeship with a sponsor of the association.
